… a promise to live, laugh and love each and every day

Latest update

Posted by stephanie on April 6th, 2008

Yesterday she was able to talk and walk. Today is a different story. She is unable to get up, drink or eat by herself. We are doing the best we can to meet her needs. She responds to touch and voices. She opens her eyes but I’m not sure what she is looking at - it’s normally the wall. The kids and I are doing fine.

Thanks to her Mother! Without her I’m not sure what I would do.

    John,
She knows she is loved and you have done a wonderful job taking care of her and the kids.
Her mom Joan is one of a kind, it is so easy to see how Stephanie became such a wonderful upbeat and giving person. You know how to reach me if you need anything.

We are praying for all of you. We are grateful you have each other and we are awed by the devotion you have all shown in your care for Stephanie.

I know the angels surround you.

    Steph,

I don’t even know where to begin. You have always been the one that I have looked up to all these years. You and I shared a bedroom growing up and I always wanted to be just like you. I remember our family vacation down to Galveston and asking you that ‘famous’ question that you did not like, only for you to pay me back when I had Brittaney. I remember my freshman year at high school and being so scared that people would not like me and you taking me under your wing and letting me hang out with you.

You knew that I always had a hard time, because of my deafness, but you always tried to make me feel as if I belonged no matter what we were doing or where we were at. I thank you for all that you have helped me with and all that you have taught me. May I continue to feel your guidiance and you cheering me on.

May God continue to comfort and care for you. May your earthly angels, John and Mom, continue to watch over you, until God calls you home.

    I love you,
    Kim

    Steph
I’m so glad that I got to see you on Saturday, and I know that for a brief moment you knew I was there. I’m glad I got to give you some head rubs and see those beautiful eyes one more time.

    I love you.

Romans 8:38-39 comes to mind in these last hours of Stephanie’s earthly life……….the Apostle Paul states..”For I am persuaded beyond doubt-am sure-that neither death, now life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening, nor things to come , nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Many thanks, from Stephanie’s friends, to her wonderful family members for taking such good care of her. She loves you and her memory will always stay with you forever. She will soon have all the answers to all the questions as she steps into eternity………Comfort and peace to all Teresa Cavender

    Steph, John, Jennifer and David,

You have crossed our thoughts so often in the past weeks; you are always in our hearts. I can hear Steph’s voice; the wit and humor as only Steph could provide. Thank you for sharing with us. We are praying for your strength and that you find peace.

    Love, Jim and Marcia

  8. Bret & Shanna Dinkins Says:

    Stephanie, John, Jennifer & David,

We have prayed so fervently for God’s total and complete healing & restoration of Stephanie’s earthly body. While I’ve struggled with why God hasn’t chosen to heal Stephanie I have come to realize that he is, just not in the way which I’d been praying. Instead, God has a much greater plan to give her a brand new healthy heavenly body with no earthly limitations! I am so thankful for the love He has for her, for the wonderful place He has prepared for her and for all who claim Him.

John, Jennifer, David, I pray for God’s Holy Angels to surround you, comfort you and give you the peace and strength that only He can give. Stephanie is going to be so much better than she has ever been!

As unbelievably difficult as this is right now for all those who love her, but especially for each of you - this is truly what we live our lives for. To be with our Heavenly Father who loves us so much, to live in Paradise and to be reunited with all those who love her. Oh what a special day that will be!

Stephanie, John, Jennifer and David, God Bless you - we love you, Bret

John and family I heard the news about Stephanie today at work and wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I lost my mom and dad to cancer it’s a hard thing to watch someone go through. Praise God she will never have to be sick again, she is healed forever. God Bless you and your family and if I can do anything to help you please call. All the folks in Records were heart broken to hear about your loss and will help you anyway they can.

    God Bless,
    Dianne
