UPDATE: October 5, 2007
We are excited and very greatful to everyone that has helped David with his fundraising. He has reached his goal. As you know David is walking the 3 Day but due to my current circumstances I will not be able to walk. I was very disappointed. I had an idea and decided to write the 3 Day and share my story. I asked if it would be possible for me to capture the 3 Day “through a survivor’s eye” with my camera. I receive chemo every other week and I am off the Friday of the 3 Day. I received an email from the 3 Day. They said they would love to have me shoot the 3 Day and be their guest. I will share more details as I learn new information. I am so jazzed to think I will still be able to be apart of the event. As always things work out for the best when God is in control.

Please support us as we take the amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. I walked in the 2006 event as a 14 month survivor and it was a most amazing time for me. February 2007, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. I vow to participate as a 28 month survivor of this wicked disease. I will have the gift of walking with my son, David, and several of my friends. David wants to help raise money so we can find a cure for me and anyone else with this horrible disease. I hope and pray I am well enough to walk with David. If not David will walk it with my friends. I argue David is my hero but he argues I am his hero! We can both agree we really admire each other.
We need to raise $4,400 ($2,200 each) for both of us to participate in the walk. Please join us in our celebration of life and God’s gifts to each of us. Each day we promise to live, laugh and love like there is no tomorrow. Without your support and prayers we will not be able to accomplish this walk. Here is the link to David’s web site so you can support him in his efforts. I am waiting a bit to start my fundraising to see how I stabilize over the next month. My link is here.
