3 Day Update

Well I’m sitting in my big lazy boy at The Center getting my pre meds for chemo. My counts are all good. I will receive all four of my drugs today: Abraxane, Gemzar, Avastin, and Zometa. I have about 20 minutes before I get my IV Benadryl and then it will be time to take my nap.
We are excited and very greatful to everyone that has helped David with his fundraising. He has reached his goal. As you know David is walking the 3 Day but due to my current circumstances I will not be able to walk. I was very disappointed. I had an idea and decided to write the 3 Day and share my story. I asked if it would be possible for me to capture the 3 Day “through a survivor’s eye” with my camera. I receive chemo every other week and I am off the Friday of the 3 Day. I received an email from the 3 Day. They said they would love to have me shoot the 3 Day and be their guest. I will share more details as I learn new information. I am so jazzed to think I will still be able to be apart of the event.
As always things work out for the best when God is in control.

This is the first time I’ve checked your site & I wanted to let you know that I am blessed by your courage & willingness to share; you never know who may come across this site & be encouraged by reading your story. I’m reminded of an old song we sang in church years back called Find Us Faithful by Steve Green; it talks about our devotion, memories & the footprints we leave being a heritage of faithfulness & inspiration for future generations. You are a gifted woman with an eye to see the majesty & glory of our Creator & I am thankful to Him for you & your desire to share that gift with the world.

You capture so much through the eyes of your camera that they should be blessed to have you do this. I know you are sad about not being able to walk with David but your pictures tell so much!!

just wanted you to know that I saw you at the Dallas 3-day…..you were on a bridge with your camera…..I was walking for the first time in the 3-day event with my sister and two friends….it was an awesome experience and worth all the effort we put into it….I am from the dallas area, but have lived in connecticut for 23 years…..for me, it was going home to see my family and participating in an event that was totally overwhelming……I am exhausted from the experience, but would do it again tomorrow if it meant helping people like yourself overcome such devasting circumstances…..my prayers to you and your family.

I saw you on the 3day at just about every turn it seems. I heard you tell somebody else about the website and I had to check it out myself.
I will be walking next year and I hope to see you walking then!
